Upon graduating from University in 2011 Eli founded Quint-Essential Theatre Company. Later that year the company toured London Fringe Theatres with their début production Dark Tales, this was to be Eli's professional writing and directing début.

The following year Eli felt inspired to write the one man show Mannequin which premiered at the Crouch End Festival. Later that year the company was invited to perform at The London Horror Festival, at which point Eli decided to write a one woman show to be performed alongside Mannequin for the festival, he called it The Tea Party. Mannequin and The Tea Party were performed at The Etcetera Theatre, Camden as part of The London Horror Festival 2012.

Following two succesful years of writing and directing shows for Quint-Essential, Eli decided to embark on a bigger project. In 2013 Eli turned his short play The Evacuee in to a full length production, the WWII ghost story ran for three weeks at the Chelsea Theatre in the autumn of 2013, receiving fantastic reviews and high acclaim.

In 2013 Eli decided that he wanted to expand into film making, in the summer of that year he travelled to Catalunya, Spain to crew on the short film Leila + Morris produced by Afilm International film workshops.

Having impressed the directors of Afilm International with his passion for film making and hard-working attitude, Eli was offered a scholarship for Afilm´s Introduction to Film Making course.

Eli relocated to Sitges, Barcelona in October 2014 where he studied film making with Afilm International. During his studies Eli wrote and directed 3 short films, one of which was accepted into the Phonetastic competition of Sitges International Film Festival 2015.

Upon completing his course Eli embarked on creating his first professional short film; The Tea Party. Adapted from his original stage play, Quint-Essential collaborated with wonderful young emerging talent and thus shot The Tea Party in April of 2016.

Eli is in the process of developing his next script; PENNYVILLE, a seven part webseries which will include 9 of Eli's short film scripts.
